The Health Action Council provides employers with the opportunity to learn from each other and to share materials developed jointly.  We do this in several ways:

Employee Communication Sample Sharing
This feature of our website contains “best practices” in employee communication for your use.  Members who supply two samples annually will have access to a wide range of materials from other employers – print and electronic:  SPDs, enrollment, retiree, etc.  Just let Deb Guarino dguarino@healthactioncouncil.org know that you have a presentation, PDF or website link to share.  She’ll make the materials available to other members and give you access to the Employee Communication resources. 

Group Purchasing Program Tools Support

Communicating Patient Safety
Leapfrog Group has prepared materials (http://www.healthactioncouncil.org/initiatives/tools.asp) for use with member employees and retirees.  These tools have been tested for effectiveness and stress the key points that are most important to emphasize when educating consumers about preventable medical mistakes.
