Health Action Council Ohio actively supports a national initiative through the National Business Coalitions on Health using the eValue8 tool to build a common RFI database. The project, called the Plan Performance Project (P³):
- collects plan information in a common format annually;
- informs HAC member decisions about plan offerings, pricing and negotiations;
- creates Ohio market data benchmarks;
- promotes constructive dialog with plans toward health care and process improvement goals; and
- supports other HAC quality of care initiatives such as Leapfrog Group.
Partners step up through Plan Advisory Group
Medical Mutual, Kaiser Permanente-Ohio, CIGNA HealthCare of Ohio, Anthem BC/BS, Aetna Ohio and United Healthcare meet as the Plan Advisory Group to discuss the Plan Performance Project (P³) process and opportunities to work together to improve community health care. The Plan Advisory Group is becoming an increasingly valuable resource in support of the HAC Board, in recognition that no one plan’s market share is sufficient to affect change alone. Each plan is represented by a senior manager and a clinical leader.
Initial projects include: supporting Leapfrog reporting statewide and Better Health Greater Cleveland.
